The pack committee may organize other activities for the scouts and their families to enjoy.

Other adventures

Dens:

Dens are smaller groups of scouts, usually made up of 6-8 scouts.  The dens are organized by grade level in school and age in the fall. 

The scouts work together to complete adventures and electives to earn their rank badge.

  • We encourage all parents to stay with their child during meetings and to be active participants.   
  • Scouts with active parents stay in scouting longer.  


Bear

Third grade

Pack:

All of the dens get together once monthly to celebrate the is achievements and to receive their awards.  This is another place we can reinforce the 12 core values of scouting.


The Pack Meeting is also a fun time!
  • Pinewood Derby:  Scouts make their own race car out of a block of wood and race it against other scouts
  • Rain Gutter Regatta:  Scouts make a boat and race it by blowing through a straw into its sail across a water filled gutter
  • Pie in the Face:  Scouts who sold a certain amount of popcorn earn the right to throw a whipped cream pie into the face of the leader of their choice
  • Speakers:  We bring in different, fun speakers to entertain the boys.
  • Blue and Gold Banquet:  a ceremony where the boys receive the rank level badge they have been working towards.  It is also where our 2nd year Webelos scouts cross over into Boy Scouts. 


Bobcat:

This is the first badge earned for any rank, except Lion.
